Kathleen Amshoff directs new works and interdisciplinary projects. For Dramatic Adventure Theatre, she has created original pieces in Zimbabwe, Ecuador and Slovakia and directed the premiere of Jason Williamson’s A Girl without Wings. Kathleen has developed new plays at Cherry Lane, Ma Yi, 2G, the Lark, Wild Project, Galapagos Artspace, Culture Project and the Kennedy Center. She was the 2011 SDC Foundation Denham Fellow for her adaptation of the graphic novel Swell, further developed at the Atomic Centre in Winnipeg and remounted for the 2014 Comic Book Theater Festival. Recent projects include the site-specific Manna-hata for Peculiar Works at the central post office, The Glass Menagerie at West Virginia U, and Lauren White Wants You, an interactive solo show about personal decision-making. A Fulbright scholar in Berlin, Kathleen was an International Forum Fellow at the 2011 Theatertreffen. She has an MFA in Directing from Carnegie Mellon University and is a member of Big Art Group.

Kathleen's creative prowess extends to her development of new plays at renowned venues such as Cherry Lane, Ma Yi, 2G, the Lark, Wild Project, Galapagos Artspace, Culture Project, and the Kennedy Center.

Her notable achievements include being the 2011 SDC Foundation Denham Fellow for her adaptation of the graphic novel 'Swell,' which underwent further development at the Atomic Centre in Winnipeg and saw a successful remounting for the 2014 Comic Book Theater Festival.
