Jesse Baxter dreamt up and founded Dramatic Adventure Theatre in an attempt to combine his passions for theatre, cross-cultural exchange, experiential travel and community service.  Since DAT's founding, Jesse has been intimately involved with all productions. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from Messiah College where he studied both acting & directing.  Jesse also studied at Temple University in Philadelphia, Gloucestershire University in England, and the Gaiety School of Acting in Ireland. In New York City, Jesse studied viewpoints and suzuki intensly with the SITI Company, where he also workshopped composition techniques directly under Anne Bogart.  A journeyman, Jesse has spent much of his time exploring this world; including 44 of the United States, Austria, Canada, Colombia, Croatia, Czech, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador including the Galapagos, England, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Kenya, the Navajo Nation, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Tanzania including Zanzibar, and Zimbabwe. An artist with a social conscience, Jesse has volunteered with several organizations, including:  “BookPals” as a reader for youth in the New York City public school system, “St. Mary’s Hospital” as a volunteer in the pediatrics department, “We Are All Kenyans Today” as a graphic designer, and as a server, feeding the homeless with various organizations in West Palm Beach, Buffalo, and New York City. He is proud to continue serving this company as it's artistic director.
